I recently read a Facebook post by the president of Life Chiropractic University quoting an article in the Wall Street Journal. I was pleasantly surprised that an article reporting on the best and worst jobs of 2013  found that Chiropractic is #11 on the list. The metrics used were physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook, but what was even more interesting was where other health care providers wound up on the list. The incredible has happened. The prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association has suggested the use of Chiropractic care for low back pain.  JAMA has finally acknowledged what millions of Americans have known and experienced for over 100 years: Chiropractic works. The New Paradigm of Healthcare

The challenge has been the lack of knowledge or misinformation about the benefits of chiropractic. The only solution to this challenge is open communication with timely information, and we welcome the opportunity to work with our patient's [...]

I want to see a chiropractor! Do I need an MD referral?

By |2020-04-08T14:17:22-04:00January 25th, 2011|FAQs|Comments Off on I want to see a chiropractor! Do I need an MD referral?

Do I need an MD referral to see a chiropractor? Do I need an MD referral? This is an all too common question that potential patients have about chiropractic. The short answer is no. You do not need a referral from your medical doctor. South Carolina along with all 49 other states consider chiropractors as primary care providers. This means that you can seek direct access to a doctor of chiropractic without an MD referral. This being said, it is never a bad thing [...]
